Singer, actor, and producer recently celebrated the second half of her 27th year with the release of her latest album Rare. And with the launch of her beauty brand of the same name, it’s clear to see that the star is gearing up for another big year. She never ceases to amaze me with her versatile hairstyles, some created with the help of her stylist, Marissa Marino. When I’m looking for a new style, I’m checking our Selena Gomez’ latest hair looks.
Between working on her own career, promoting new projects, and working to help others, she is one busy woman. But that hasn’t kept her from delivering envy-inducing beauty looks. TBH, that’s one of the many reasons I have a giant girl crush on her. While she’s been in quarantine like the rest of the world, she’s still been giving me inspiration for my strands. Below, check out six of my favorite Selena Gomez hair looks.
The star doesn’t sport her natural curls often. But in quarantine, she’s letting her hair run free. Gomez built up anticipation for the launch of her beauty brand with a minimalistic makeup look that pairs perfectly with her carefree mane.
While she was promoting her latest album, Gomez worked with her stylist to create a half-updo inspired by the mod look of the 60s. With sleek and shiny strands complete with an outward flip, the hairstyle felt refreshingly modern despite its old-school roots.
Another moment featuring her natural texture! This time Selena’s curly bangs accompanied her thick waves perfectly. Her voluminous locks add a cool and playful touch to her overall look.
I’ll admit, when I saw that the “Boyfriend” singer bleached her hair to a light blonde, I was surprised. But then it grew on me, and eventually inspired me to go lighter myself. Going blonde was a nice and unexpected change of pace for the typically brunette star.
Bold + Braided
If you’re ever looking for a cool update on the traditional braid, look to Gomez’s high and long style created by Marino for the 2013 MTV Movie Awards. The updo even incorporated a classic pouf for some added volume and strength.
Gomez showcases the easiest way to dress up even the most casual ensembles: sleek low bun with a middle part. The singer may be known for her full hair looks, but when she wears it pulled back, her look feels instantly polished.
