A few things we know to be true about Erin Starkweather: she’s a natural tastemaker, she is effortlessly chic, and she is nice as hell. Okay, we might be editorializing just a little, but we stand by what we said.

Not only is she one of our New York-based editors, she also works with the new it natural beauty brand Saie, so you know she is for real when she gives dewy skin tips. Her dedication to wellness knows no bounds (see: “The 10 Craziest Wellness Trends I’ve Personally Participated In”). What’s your ideal night in?

ES

Pajamas and Tata Harper Resurfacing Face Mask on. Takeout from Sugarfish. In bed with Succession Season 3 on by 9pm!

What’s your ideal night out?

ES

Dinner anywhere I can get a really good dirty martini. Some of my NYC favorites are Sant Ambroeus in West Village, The Odeon, Frenchette or Lucien. Then maybe (ok, probably!) another drink somewhere after like Babs or Primos.

How do you Sunday?

ES

I stay home and fully prepare for the coming week. This means cleaning and organizing my apartment, planning my outfits for the week (this is a total game-changer when it comes to getting ready in the morning!), then just really relaxing and going to bed early. Sleep is such a big thing for me: I have to feel rested or else I’m practically useless.

What’s your self-care power move?

ES

Going to bed early! Also taking the time to schedule self-care things like manicures, massages, facials and workout classes in advance. If they’re all scheduled in my calendar a month out, I’m so much more likely to actually do them, and I’m not scrambling around at the last minute trying to get an appointment.

What’s a personal goal or project you are working towards?

ES

I did a Feng Shui certification course over the summer that I loved. My apartment has become an ever-expanding Feng Shui project that I’m never not working on.

What’s currently on your want list?

ES

I love expensive and (debatably) unnecessary tools! The Ziip, Nuface, high-frequency devices and anything similar are so up my alley. Right now I want the Dr. Dennis Gross steamer and LED Mask. And a Dyson hairdryer for good measure.

What’s the best thing social media has done for you? The worst?

ES

The best thing it’s done is to connect me with a really incredible network of people from around the world that I would have never known otherwise. The worst?… My cat meme addiction.

What (or who) inspires you?

ES

Good design! Whenever I’m in LA my friend Michael and I will drive through the hills and look at all the Neutra and Lautner houses we’re obsessed with. That usually gets the inspiration flowing.
