Spring + Summer Eyeshadows To Add To Your Rotation, Stat

The coolest eyeshadows for the warmest seasons.

By now, you’ve probably already noticed that things are little iffy at the moment. I’ve definitely been needing a good pick-me-up to snap me out of the uncertainty that sits outside my door — which has ultimately left me in a mental funk. If you feel the same, or at least want something to look forward to, I suggest refreshing your makeup routine with some new shades of eyeshadow. Whether you prefer neutral hues or the colors of the rainbow, the right eyeshadow can boost your mood instantly. After all, any self-identifying makeup lover knows just what a touch of color can do to your mental health — even if you’re spending the next few weeks working from home.

Without further ado, scroll down to see the coolest eyeshadows to consider wearing over the warmer months of the year.

Róen Disco Eye

When you need a simple shade to spice your life up, reach for Róen’s Disco Eye. The brand’s Universal shade is made with clean ingredients like gold and silver pearl and reflex instead of glitter, which means you’ll get an envy-inducing shine without having to worry about any harmful ingredients. Plus, it looks great on every skin tone.

Glossier Skywash

Glossier’s first makeup launch of 2020 has been getting major buzz from nearly every fan of the brand — and every other lover of makeup, for that matter. And with good reason: The liquid-to-powder eyeshadow comes in a variety of shades ranging from neutrals to brights and can easily be built up to a more pigmented finish, if that’s what you’re into. For those who prefer neutral makeup, I suggest Valley for a low-key pop. And if you want to go bold, opt for Pool and create a pastel look you’ll want to wear all season long.

Huda Beauty Pastel Obsessions Palette

The first Huda Beauty product I ever tried was their Mercury Retrograde Palette for Sephora which my fellow beauty editors talked me into buying, saying it was well worth the $67 (they were right).  Now, I’m here to pay it forward. Huda Beauty just launched its Pastel Obsessions palette in three colorways: Lilac, Mint, and Rose. The pans are packed with pigments that easily build into lasting, impactful eye looks. Trust me when I tell you, you won’t regret this palette purchase.

Whether you prefer neutral hues or the colors of the rainbow, the right eyeshadow can boost your mood instantly.

Kosas 10-Second Liquid Eyeshadow

My everyday makeup routine can be summed up in two words: whatever’s easy.  That’s why I love Kosas’ liquid eyeshadow. I’ve been using Copper Halo for a cool glow to finish my look. You can use your finger to tap onto your lid for a diffused look, or if you’re looking for more pigment, use the doe-foot tip to apply it directly to your lid before buffing it out with your finger or a brush.

Urban Decay Moondust Eyeshadow

No matter what year it is, there’s something particularly romantic about a violet-hued eye. But for 2020 I love a slightly warmer shade of purple with pink undertones. Enter Urban Decay’s Moondust Eyeshadow in Intergalactic. Between the muted jewel-tone shade and the metallic finish, your eyes will undoubtedly channel the look of amethysts — and who wouldn’t want that?

RMS Eye Polish

For anyone who wants a simple sheen to their eyes, I highly recommend RMS’ Eye Polish in Aura. Like I said before, I like anything that’s easy to use and quick to apply, and this does the trick. It’s quick and easy whether you use your fingers or a brush. Just tap product onto your lids and you’re good to go.
