Ahhh, nothing like the fresh start of the new year! We all get that urge to revamp and revive our lives come January 1st, and for us that definitely means reevaluating our skincare routines. Read on to see which skincare resolutions the team at Facile Skincare is focusing on for 2022 – you may even want to add one of these to your own list!
Danielle, Co-founder + CEO:
This year, I really want to focus on collagen-boosting treatments like microneedling with PRP. This treatment really helps my skin look tighter and more youthful.
Julia, Project Manager:
My new year’s resolution is to stop picking at my face once and for all! I am so much better about it than I used to be, but on the rare occasions when I do pick I always regret it when those post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation spots appear. The way I’m finally quitting this habit is twofold: I’m exploring other ways to keep my hands busy when I get anxious (yes, I’ve taken up cross stitching) and I have a stash of pimple patches and an arsenal of targeted spot treatments to use when a tempting breakout appears. 2022 will be the year of finally accepting that zits heal on their own timeline!
Sabrina, Product Development Coordinator:
My new year’s resolution is to start getting facials more consistently! I recently got one and I had so much build up (gross) but I didn’t get a facial for years. Aly at Facile brought my skin back to life and now I want to make sure I get a facial at least once a month. New year, new skin!
Ian, Social Brand Editor:
My new year’s resolution is to get more into natural facial sculpting massage techniques like Gua Sha. I also want to incorporate more anti-aging products in my routine for long lasting, youthful skin.
Nicole, Product Development Manager:
My new year’s resolution is to remember to wear SPF daily. So BAD, I know! But it’s slowly becoming a habit and I’m hoping that it becomes second nature in the new year!
Joanne, Social Media Manager:
Recycling/upcycling my skincare bottles and not using cosmetics beyond its expiration date! I want to be more thoughtful of the everyday impact I have on my skin (and the environment!) and be more proactive in ways I can feel good about.
Tori, Operations:
Be more consistent with my routine! I’m so good with washing my face morning and night (and hyaluronic acid after!) but beyond that I drop off. My skin feels so dry and dull most of the time, but I have no one to blame but myself!
Carissa, Marketing:
My new year’s resolution is to take back the time I used to spend on self-care before I became a mom. It really used to help set the tone for my day, and I think even just spending a few minutes to myself in the morning or at night before bed will be a game changer for both my mood and my skin. Post pregnancy, my skin could definitely use a little TLC, so I’ll be focusing on adding retinol back into my routine once I’m done breastfeeding which I’m really excited about!
